About Us

Brian L. Kramer – President/Co-Founder
Brian L. Kramer has been associated with the land since he took over his father’s operation in 1976. From this start, it quickly was learned the importance of economics and preserving the environment.

Fertilizer costs and soil loss was beginning to become more apparent as ever in the mid 70's. Our operation has seen first-hand the need for livestock waste handling and its benefits.

On April 23, 1982, it was decided to start a company in the name of Metro-Ag. Coincidentally, that same day would be the start of the next generation of Metro-Ag.

Metro-Ag Breese, ILOver the next 5 years, Metro-Ag concentrated on livestock waste and the correct and efficient application of it. During those years Metro-Ag began doing work for municipalities.

Over the next 30+ years our company performed services from Nogales, AZ. to Clearwater, FL. to the Midwest and many points between.

We pride ourselves in not being the largest, just the best in what we do. We are concerned with preserving the environment, providing a quality service, and making sure our clients are happy with our services.

Metro-Ag is the same name, same owners, same reliability, same excellence, for now, as it was 30 years ago. We are a proven company.


Tyler L. Kramer – Field Operations Supervisor
Tyler L. Kramer has been in the family business since birth. He has grown up helping his father at Metro-Ag & became a full time employee in his late teens. After high school Tyler went on to earn an Associates in Agricultural Business to help develop his knowledge of the industry.

Since becoming a full time employee he has helped the company grow more not only in size, but by becoming more efficient in their application process.

Tyler is OSHA certified, has Confined Space Training & Certification & is DOT Certified

Tyler is in charge of
-  Day to Day Field Operations
-  Communication with Land Owners
-  Communication with Municipal Workers
-  Communication with State Officials
-  On the job Start to Finish
-  Transportation Operations


Capital & Annual Expenditures

• Annual expense for adding additional staff to administer and conduct the removal of your boisolids
• Annual cost for maintenance of your own equipment
• Annual cost for fuel & electrical usage
• Additional cost for adding storage buildings for equipment
• Possible increase in Insurance rates for transporting biosolids to land application sites

Recycling benefits us ALL - metro ag
The essential nutrients and organic matter contained in the biosolids, can be recycled beneficially as a soil conditioner.

In the past, biosolids have been disposed of in landfills and even in the ocean.

Biosolids are an even greater resource to be recycled back to the land, recycling reduces the volume of waste to be disposed of in limited capacity landfills, and therefore reduce the amount from disposal practices such as land filling and ocean dumping or discharge to coastal waters is avoided.
